Timeless. Creative. Legendary!
Making a distinguished water park is an evolving art. From the sources of water
to the color scheme of rafts, only few selected water parks redefine what they mean
to be distinguished. Here's a glimpse into the best of them-
Aquatica,
Orlando, Florida
Website: www.aquaticabyseaworld.com
You'd love to get wet at the Aquatica in Orlando. Opened in 1998, Aquatica is
a one-of-a-kind water park that blends close animal experiences, high speed thrills,
waters from low to extreme, and sandy beaches. Ride through dolphins' underwater
habitat in a see-through foot tube or cool off and watch others in the side-by-side
wave pools. There are 36 slides to choose from and make your trip memorable.
Aquatica's look is inspired by stunning flora, vivid colors, and the cheery
touch of the South Sea Islands. It has crystal-blue rivers that run through hidden
caves, bright flowers surrounding the rock formations, and successfully captures
the essence of water with over 3 million gallons of it in lagoons, rivers, and rides.
Schlitterbahn
Vacation Village Water Park, Kansas City, Kansas

Village is all about. You don't have to set your foot on the land if you don't
want to. Transportainment lets you transverse through the park via tubes on waterway.
Though the park, which has opened recently, was criticized widely for not finishing
the construction on time, this hasn't stopped it from securing its position
in the top 15 most-visited water parks in the world.
There are 16 attractions and the longest tidal wave is 1800 feet that pushes the
riders uphill and them gushes them down into the flora on the sideways.
Disney World
Typhoon Lagoon
Website: www.disneyworld.disney.go.com
The Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park features attractions for the whole family.
Be ready for fast waterslides, pint-sized rafts, 6-foot waves, and real sharks in
Shark Reef.
According to a legend, the park was created in the wake of massive storm that took
people by surprise and hurled their surfboats into palm trees, thatched roofs, and
onto mountains. A shrimp boat, names Miss Tilly, which was journeying from Florida
found itself harshly swept up by the tides of the fierce typhoon and so strong were
the winds that the boat was propelled onto the peak of the volcanic mountain, Mount
Mayday. Till day, Miss Tilly sits there and waits for its owner to come and sail
her through the waters she had left behind.
The guest services at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park lists some precautions
that must be taken by every visitor to ensure that safety of the park is never compromised.
Dining at the park includes outdoor pool bar, snack bar, quick-service restaurants,
and picnic areas. Price range changes frequently and does not include alcohol, tax
and tip.
Noah's
Ark Water Park, Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin
Website: www.noahsarkwaterpark.com
As America's one of the largest outdoor parks, Noah's Ark Water Park has
water rides, shopping arcades, and places that make you come back to it again and
again. It's where children come to camp every summer and thrill themselves of
the 85-foot drop. Only a few are brave enough to do it in the first attempt though.
Keeping in sync with the growing demands of customers, the water park has been adding
a lot of diversity to its portfolio.
Kalahari
Resorts
Website: www.kalahariresorts.com
The Kalahari Resort is a water park resort chain with amazing locations at places
like Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin and Sandusky, Ohio. Its third resort is under construction
and will open its gate to the general public from February 2012 in Fredericksburg,
Virginia. This resort chain has been inspired from Kalahari Desert in southern Africa.
In order to keep the African theme alive for all the locations, all the lobbies
are decorated with fountains, trees, plants, miniature animals, and all the rides
have been named after the African animals, such as the "Wild Wildebeest"
and the "Rippling Rhino".
