For many years visitors have brought their hopes and dreams to the USA. For the

a "New World", a possible heaven wasted on its native people. Millions

Slaves who had been shipped over from Africa and the Caribbean joined them as free
citizens. As the United States expanded to fill the continent, something authentically

of South America (or slightly larger than Brazil), slightly larger than
China, about two and a half times the size of Western Europe.
