To and fro from the airport
Taxi
Yellow Cab taxis (Phone: 954-777-7777) are readily available
24 hours a day at the airport. These can be hailed from transportation platform
outside the baggage claim area on the lower level of every terminal. Up to 5 passengers
accepted at the same meter rate. For price comparison, there is a fare chart
at every platform.
For door-to-door services, Tri County Airport Express passenger sedans
(Phone: 954-561-8888) can be called.
Bus or Train
Broward County Transit (BCT) (Phone: 954-357-8400) offers
efficient and reliable transportation to and from the Fort Lauderdale Airport. The
Tri-Rail commuter rail service (Phone: 954.357.8320) also has a
station and can be reached through feeder buses. Bus stops are located at the west
end of the Terminal 1, between terminals 2 and 3, and between the terminals
3 and 4.
Courtesy shuttles
The courtesy shuttles take passengers from one terminal to another, Airport
parking and Car Rental Centre at Fort Lauderdale Airport and run
from on the lower level of each terminal. Operate from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00
p.m. every day.
Car Rental
RCC -
Rental Car Center at Fort Lauderdale Airport has many rental car companies.
Situated next to the Terminal 1, rental car passengers can pick up or drop their
vehicles right here. There are sign posts all across the Airport to guide passengers
to the Rental Car Center. For the passengers arriving or departing from terminal
1, it is at the walking distance. For the rest, free shuttle services are
available.
Driving Instructions
The Fort Lauderdale Hollywood International Airport connects to the Florida Turnpike,
Interstate-95, Interstate-595 and US Route 1. You can take the I-595
or the State Road 84 and turn onto SW 29 Avenue for the Park N car park, or
follow the US Route 1 straight to the perimeter road of the airport till the economy
car park location.
The passengers arriving at the Terminal 1, you can follow Rental Car Center
at Fort Lauderdale Airport signs to the Concourse B pedestrian bridge.
The bridge is located very near to the Concourse B security checkpoint.
