Here are few more places that should keep you amused:
- Carpenter's Hall Philadelphia
Honored by all the Americans, this old building is a landmark in the history
of the country and a reference to democracy. No astonishing sights, only the
authenticity and the admiration for a brilliant history.
- Liberty Bell
Another place of historical value, the Liberty Bell is one of the most recognized
icons of the bygone era. It was cast in London in 1750 and is emblazoned with these
words from the Bible, Leviticus 25:10 - "Proclaim LIBERTY throughout
all the Land unto all the inhabitants thereof". The Bell arrived in Philadelphia
in 1752, where it soon cracked but was recast.
On the fateful day of July 8, 1776, the Declaration of Independence was
read in front of the people gathered at Independence Hall. The rebellious migrants
rang the bell and celebrated the event.

here and the money you have spent in getting to Philadelphia is recovered. The museum
has over 200 art galleries, with 225,000 works from different periods of
history and nearly from every part of the world. A whole day is needed to really
experience everything here.

- Betsy Ross House
It is said that Betsy Ross lived here when she hand-sewed the first US flag.
The house is thoughtfully restored and its classic furniture gives it a perfect
finish for an interesting museum.
- City Hall
Designed by John McArthur Jr, it is a huge building dominating Centre Square.
During the time of its construction, people predicted that such a tall building
will never last the test of time. The City Hall was the tallest in Pennsylvania
until Gulf Tower surpassed it in 1932. Since then, many other buildings have
taken that status and the Hall is currently the 15th tallest building in Pennsylvania.
