Transportation from the airport
Bus
Bus service is available at the west end of the baggage claim wing. Buses run regularly
(except Sundays and Holidays) 12 hours a day ferrying passengers to different
locations. The transit companies can be contacted at the following numbers for schedule
and fare information. Sarasota County Area Transit (SCAT): 941-316-1234
and Manatee County Area Transit (MCAT): 941-749-7116.
Shuttle Services
Convenient shuttle services from the airport to main locations in the city area
are available. However, before boarding your plane do not forget to give them
a call and fix the time. Free shuttles also operate between all parking lots (with
the exception of the parking garage) and the terminal 24 hours a day.
Taxi
Taxicabs are available from outside of the baggage claim area, on the western
end of the terminal. Diplomat Taxi offers quality service round the clock for all
arriving flights. Take help from taxi starter to get the taxi and be on your way.
For other taxi services, call ahead for pick-up from the Ground Transportation
queuing area.
Car Rental
The Sarasota car
rental centre is located at the end of baggage claim area, right next
to the exit section. If you are arriving in the city; follow the car rental
signboards after collecting you baggage. The departing passengers are required to
return the vehicle to the car rental center. Please contact your car rental company for off-site car pickups.
