Getting around in Flagstaff
Taxi
Taxis are plentiful in Flagstaff. You can try calling these cab companies -
A Friendly Cab (928-774-4444 / 800-853-4445,
www.afriendlycab.com), Apex Taxi (928-779-0000),
and Sun Taxi (928-779-1111).

League of American Bicyclists designated Flagstaff a "Bicycle-Friendly Community"
few years back. The Flagstaff Urban Trails System or "FUTS" comprises of
more than 60 miles of biking trails that run throughout the city and are used extensively
by the locals for recreation and transportation.
Car Hire
Driving in Flagstaff is fairly easy. If you plan to drive on your own, check
out the self-guided tours on the Flagstaff CVB website at
www.flagstaffarizona.org.
Avoid driving between the usual traffic hours and look out for parking stations
that allow you to park for longer durations at cheap prices. Flagstaff Car Hire is definitely worth "going
in" for as it will give you the freedom to see the city at your own pace. Usually
a person between the age brackets of 18 to 75 years with a valid license is allowed
to drive a private, non-commercial vehicle in the city. If you like to drive,
don't forget to carry your driver's license. For foreigners, International
Driving Permit is compulsory.
Depending on the way you're travelling, there are many types of Flagstaff car rental services that can make
it convenient for you to move comfortably between hotels, places of interest,
restaurants and airports. Pick from economy vehicles to go for a trip around the
city to full size vehicles for longer inter-city excursions - all at best
prices.
