Getting around in Salt Lake City
TRAX - Light Rail
Also run by UTA, it is another great way to get around the city. The light-rail
service runs on are two separate lines - University Line serves the University
of Utah and the locations on it. The other line passes through South Salt Lake,
Midvale, Murray, and Salt Lake City and terminates at the Sandy Civic Center.
Fare is $2 for one-way, $4 for round-trip, and $5 for
a day pass.
Biking
Salt Lake City has many biking trails. The city is full with bicycle lanes though
some of might prove to be too narrow and can put the bicyclist in the car-door
zone. Navigation around the city is fairly easy, and if you find yourself on
a narrow or busy lane, choose an alternative street to reach your destination.

Salt Lake City is very car-friendly due to its straight, wide roads laid
out in a simple grid orientation. It is also well-served by freeways, with
I-15 running straight from north to south through the downtown.

give you the freedom to see the city at your own pace. Usually a person between
the age brackets of 18 to 75 years with a valid license is allowed to drive a private,
non-commercial vehicle in the city. If you like to drive, don't forget
to carry your driver's license. For foreigners, International Driving Permit
is compulsory.

that can make it convenient for you to move comfortably between hotels, places
