The TECO Line Streetcar that operates from Centennial Park to Dick Greco Plaza downtown
and to Ybor City. The usual number of halts within the way is 8 and the line is
very useful for tourists. The line runs major places of interests including Embassy
Suites/Convention Centre, Channelside, the Florida Aquarium, St.
Pete Times Forum and many other local shops, restaurants, historic and cultural
sites.
TECO has three types of streetcars - Birney Safety, Breezer, and the
original Birney. If you are looking for some fun way to get around Tampa, there
is nothing better that these cars. Ride in them once, even if there is no special
place you want to visit.
One-way fare is $2.50. If planning to visit more than one place, buy a day
pass at $5 that will give you unlimited access to streetcars and trollies. Senior
citizens and kinds under 17 can travel on discounted rates. Children under 5 can
travel free with parents and ID card is required if the child is taller that the
fare box. While planning for a ride, don't forget to carry exact change.
Service available from 11:00 am - 10:00 pm Monday-Wednesday,
11:00 am - 11:00 pm Thursday, 11:00 am - 2:00 an Friday,
9:00 am - 2:00 am Saturday and noon - 8:00 pm on Sunday.

Tampa also has a two-line trolley system that connects Central Business District
to other places. The purple line trolley operates in the north-south direction

- 6:00 pm Monday through Friday.
The green line operates only on Friday and Saturday nights, from 6:00 pm
- 2:00 am. Available every 10 minutes, it stops at 17 stations.
